Reinstein Ranch

"Reinstein Ranch", Acrylic on Panel 12" x 9", © Nancy Roberts

I loved the sunlit hillside peeking through the lacy framework of this decaying old barn. Reinstein Ranch is a working horse and cattle ranch tucked into the beautiful countryside south of Mount Diablo in Northern California. It was a joy to paint there with friends on a quiet October morning.

Now available in my DPW Gallery.

Welcome Home, Alviso Adobe

It was a joy painting this historic farmhouse with friends on a crystal-clear September morning. So refreshing to see blue skies again after weeks of smoke and gloom!

I love this little village of aeoniums nestled in a shady corner of the Ruth Bancroft Garden. They have so much personality!

Glad

"Glad," Acrylic on Canvas 24" x 12", © Nancy Roberts

Inspired by Jim McVicker's garden! Jim very graciously hosted a virtual paint-out for the California Art Club and shared photos of his beautiful garden for us all to paint. This started out as one of his gladioli but blossomed into my own joyful floral fantasy.

Now available in my DPW Gallery.

Main Street, Locke

"Main Street, Locke," Acrylic on Panel 12" x 9", © Nancy Roberts

Labor Day weekend and the town of Locke was hopping! Merchants filled the sidewalks with fun, colorful stuff and Main Street felt like a big party. So fun painting there with friends!

'Twas Brillig

'Twas Brillig, Acrylic on Canvas 12" x 12", © Nancy Roberts

For some reason Lewis Carroll's poem "Jabberwocky" was going through my head on this magical day in the Ruth Bancroft Garden. I guess it's because the borogoves were so extremely mimsy, and the mome raths were outgrabing like crazy.

Now available in my DPW Gallery.
