Glorious agaves ring the shoreline at Glen Cove in Vallejo, California. What a joy to paint there with friends on a sparkling summer day!

After weeks of smoky skies it was a joy to see glimmers of blue at last. Painted this at Black Diamond Mines in Northern California on the trail up to historic Rose Hill Cemetery and Mt. Diablo beyond.

These glorious fennel plants sheltered me from the wind and framed my view of the Carquinez Strait as I painted with friends along the Benicia shoreline. The smell was heavenly!

Glen Cove Vista

 

From the cliffs of Glen Cove in Vallejo, CA you get sweeping view of the Carquinez Strait, from Mt. Diablo and Martinez to Crockett and the Carquinez Bridge. It was so refreshing painting there with friends on a sparkling summer day!
