I love the jaunty paint job on this little store at the corner of Pacific and Walnut in Alameda, California. Even though the market is shuttered and re-purposed now, its cheerful facade is still a friendly presence in the neighborhood.

Started while painting with friends at Borges Ranch, finished -- and tweaked -- in my studio. It was fun adding new doors and windows, farm animals, a ranch hand and a welcoming entry path to perk up this old barn!
