"North Peak Rhythms", acrylic on canvas, 12" x 16" |
Here's my interpretation of Mt. Diablo's North Peak, started on location in Clayton in late January. In my fantasy there's a gentle frosting of snow with a hint of poppies to come, and a feeling of spirit and peace radiates from the mountain.
I like the play with patterns and color!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad, Kaethe! You know those are my favorite things.
DeleteSo much to see in such a compelling composition.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laurel! I'm thinking I may try the same composition with a larger canvas next.
DeleteI always enjoy looking at your scenes that remind me of the Bay Area- Mt. Diablo in particular. Love all of the patterning:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Libby! Yes, Mt. Diablo is a very special place.
DeleteMagical canvas Nancy. I love this, and enjoy your description of this beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Rosie! And I'm glad you like my description, too. I struggle with writing -- it's something I'm working on with this blog. I have a much easier time expressing myself with paint.
DeleteThanks so much, Rolina!
